The Office of Marketing and Communications
The Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) enhances the success of the University by providing a central marketing and communications service and has responsibilities across all University campuses and operations, nationally and internationally. The highly professional OMC team is responsible for the University's central marketing strategy, corporate communications and publications, media liaison, brand management, design, advertising, and corporate events.
OMC also liaises with Executive staff, senior Faculty and Institute staff, and marketing and communications officers in faculties, centres and administration divisions across the University.

This position is responsible for managing, leveraging and evaluating UQ sponsorship activity, and building partnerships with sponsored organisations and key external suppliers. The position also manages the delivery of major student recruitment events such as UQ Open Day (St Lucia), and supports the delivery of a range of other recruitment events. You will be expected to maintain detailed budgets for events and sponsorships. There is also a key focus on fostering collaborative relationships internally and externally. The successful applicant may be required to work evenings and weekends at various times throughout the year.
Applicants should possess a degree in marketing, communications, event management or a related discipline combined with 5 years' experience in marketing and events within a large organisation. You should possess a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, along with negotiation and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Experience in planning and managing multi-faceted, large scale events, particularly where multiple stakeholders are involved, will be well regarded. You need to be able to work independently and be willing to support the work of a busy team.
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,883.65 - $89,559.15 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $89,552.60 - $98,067.27 p.a.).
