The Library is integral to achieving world-class scholarship at The University of Queensland. The Library's staff work in partnership with the academic and health community to provide convenient access to quality information, and to manage and provide access to UQ scholarship. The Library provides information services that are customisable to individual needs and which recognise disciplinary perspectives and their information requirements. The Library engages with the community to foster scholarship and strengthens the culture of collaboration and partnership within the University.
This position is a member of the Document Delivery Team, providing a range of services to Library clients and staff.
- Answer basic client enquiries
- Assist in the processing of inter library and intra-library loans
- Open, package and send mail items
- Retrieve, sort and shelve library materials
- Search a range of databases and other sources to obtain bibliographic and location data
- Scan documents, enter files and upload to various systems

Applicants should possess a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education and relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Progress towards a Diploma of Library and Information Services (Library Technician) or Diploma of Information Technology is highly desirable. Applicants will have an awareness of library operations, knowledge of library systems and good self-organisational skills, accuracy and good attention to detail.

This is a part-time (20 hours per week) fixed term appointment for 12 months at HEW Level 3. The remuneration package will be in the range $28,850.52 to $32,027.69 p.a., plus superannuation contributions up to 17% (total package will be in the range $31,591.32 to $37,472.40 p.a.).
