The School of Psychology is one of six Schools in the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Queensland. The role

The successful appointee will support the implementation of a Randomised Controlled Trial which aims to translate brief interventions for substance misuse in young people into practice, in collaboration with Lives Lived Well community drug and alcohol service. There are opportunities to deliver clinical services as well as provide education and training, and contribute to the research activities and outputs of the research team.

The person

Applicants should possess a four-year qualification in psychology and be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. You should have demonstrated experience in a research environment with sound research skills, as well as clinical experience in delivering psychological assessment and treatment. You should also have strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work across clinical and research teams, and a strong desire to continue to develop your skills as a clinician-researcher.

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207 - $79,964 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $81,256 - $87,561 p.a.).
