The role

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will join the Yamauchi Group within AIBN and will focus their research into the development of advanced functional materials for various applications including catalyst, environment, bioengineering, and energy storages in Australia. You will be responsible for developing a program of applied and contract research in the area of material science and develop close scientific collaborations with other members of the laboratory and assume a leadership role in the research team. The successful candidate is expected to publish in high-quality research journals, assist in applications for external research funding and contribute to the research training of students.

The person

Applicants should possess a PhD in Chemical Engineering. You should have expert knowledge in the area of material synthesis and various applications including bio-applications. Also essential for this role is highly developed synthesis skills with strong chemistry background and demonstrated experience with material analysis including electrochemistry.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for two (2) years at Research Academic Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,545 - $87,535 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,408 - $102,416 p.a.).
