The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) (DVCA) is a member of The University’s senior executive, and is responsible for the University’s commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning, and enhancing the UQ student experience. The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) (ODVCA) is responsible for key areas of the University, including Academic Administration Directorate, Student Administration Directorate and Student Affairs. The Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation also forms part of the ODVCA portfolio.

The ODVCA is currently engaged in a number of large, complex, high risk and important projects which have a university wide impact and are at different levels of maturation. The projects include infrastructure, new models of service delivery, digitisation, policy review and curriculum redesign.

The role

This is a specialist role with responsibility to coordinate communications and engagement activities for the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). This position will also coordinate change management activities and raise awareness of the Student Strategy.

The person

Applicants should possess qualifications in communications, change management or a related field and experience in planning, implementing and monitoring communications and engagement strategy in a complex organisation. You should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive career in change management and the capacity to lead, motivate and train colleagues to establish priorities and manage competing deadlines.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 12 months at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,811.16 - $104,214.40 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $101,628.22 - $114,114.77 p.a.).
