PageUp’s security consultants have confirmed that they have not identified any further threats and that PageUp is safe to use. Based on the outcome of that investigation and additional security improvements by PageUp to guard against similar incidents in the future, UQ is satisfied with the security of the system and has reinstated access to UQ Jobs.

As a safety measure, UQ requested a reset of all user passwords. In order to protect your personal account details, the next time you login to UQ Jobs, you will be prompted to set a new password. As good practice, UQ recommends that you do not re-use passwords, or use the same password across multiple systems.

The University of Queensland Press (UQP)

The University of Queensland Press (UQP) was established in 1948 and is one of Auastralia’s oldest and most respected publishing houses. UQP enhances the success of the University of Queensland by its innovative philosophy and commitment to producing books of high quality and cultural significance. UQP books and authors have received national and international recognition through literary prizes, rights sales and writers’ festivals. We publish print and eBooks across a range of subjects, from literary fiction, general non-fiction and poetry, to children’s and young adult fiction and academic books.

The role

The successful appointee will provide administrative and inventory support for the timely and widespread availability of UQP titles.

This will involve liaising with UQP’s sales force and distributors, monitoring warehouse and local stock for timely dispatch, generating internal sales reports, liaising directly with booksellers and other stakeholders to maximise sales opportunities for UQP books.

The person

Applicants must have demonstrated customer service experience in a book retail environment as well as experience in stock management. You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, a can-do attitude and the ability to implement and deliver efficient book sales and inventory processes.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.


This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,597 - $72,348 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,579 - $84,648 p.a.).
