Advancement at UQ works in partnership with academic and professional colleagues throughout the University to increase engagement and to establish enduring relationships with key constituents including alumni, community, friends, organisations, trusts, foundations, industry and corporations. Under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement) and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Advancement), UQ Advancement is investing in a high performing team to partner with UQ academia to deliver new sustainable levels of philanthropic support.

The role

The successful appointee will be responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive outreach and engagement program for young alumni that involves a range of targeted events, communications and marketing initiatives. 

The person

Applicants should possess qualifications in relevant disciplines, or extensive work experience/specialist expertise in community engagement, events management and/or communications. You should also have effective organisational and planning skills including excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to use initiative, prioritise own workload, solve problems and meet strict deadlines. Whilst also having a sound understanding of marketing and communication principles and basic fundraising and alumni relations principles, and appreciation of the role that engagement and stewardship of donors and volunteers has within fundraising strategies.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, 6 month fixed term appointment at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $75,957 - $81,714 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5%
